We knew something was up when we got about 3 calls a week asking if we had the Dubai Chocolate Bar, or when new faces walked into our store, asking for the same thing.
So our team took to researching and found countless videos, articles, and listings all based on the trend. The viral confection originated from a candy bar, called “Can't Get Knafeh of It” from a Dubai-based company that goes by Fix Dessert Chocolatier. The bar features milk chocolate filled with crispy kataifi, pistachio, and tahini paste. A single bar costs about $20 - $40 depending on the retailer and that’s before shipping!
We’re no stranger to the cost of luxury cacao and exquisite craftsmanship, and figured we had to make something worthwhile for our existing audience, and our local chocolate-chasers!
Considering our store is dedicated vegan & gluten-free, our team knew we had to get creative with the recipe.
As we experimented with the chocolate making, we had to test the flavor combo with some dessert! Our shop teased the upcoming treat with a simple switch of our classic pistachio cake, from vanilla butter creme to chocolate butter creme!

This was safe, but our team wanted to venture further before we tried the real thing. Our baker and chocolatiers started with our pistachio cake recipe, layered with our own chocolate and pistachio mousse. We topped it off with coconut whip creme, hot fudge, and crushed pistachios! It was heavenly to say the least, and many of you enjoyed it as well. We’ve sold out every time we put it out!
It wasn’t quite the real thing yet, so we dubbed it the Chocolate-Pistachio “Dupe-Bai” Cup! (You can thank our Baker for that one.)
Our cake cup did so well it brought over popular influencer, JimyOfficial to our store!
Finally we were ready to take on the real thing. We started with making our own pistachio-butter. We selected quality pistachios and ground them up ourselves until we got a flavorful, chunky paste with a natural golden brown look and a glistening green sheen.

We strive to use wholesome, quality ingredients that don’t forfeit flavor for health!
We set that aside to make two versions the viral confection, one as close to the Kknafeh Bar as we can make it, and the other more like Divine Treasures’ style of chocolate making!
The former we call, A Taste of Dubai. It’s a dark chocolate shell filled with our sweetened, housemade pistachio butter, mixed with crunchy brown rice crips to replicate the shredded phyllo dough, all topped with a single pistachio.
For our own version, we call it the Divine Dubai. We took our housemade pistachio butter and mixed it with rich chocolate ganache. Our chocolatiers enrobed the filling with dark chocolate, and topped with our housemade, candied orange peels. This technique had a more Divine flair to it, as expected of our traditional European techniques!
To make things more accessible to our fans across the country, we made an assortment box featuring the two chocolates, alongside panned pistachios for an exquisite sampler!
